Stowe, VT Residential Real Estate Market
With strong sales and a decrease in inventory the Stowe residential market showed signs of continued improvement, with total units sold to date rising above 50 for the first time since 2007 – before the downturn. A 121% increase since the bottom of the market in 2009. The growth in sales was propelled by the strength of certain market segments, mainly the under $500K and $500K to $1 million. At over 135 listings, market-wide listed inventory declined 21% from one year ago. Pricing market-wide continued to decline as sellers who recognize the state of the market found ways to meet buyer’s demands. Thus, the median price declined 22% and average price declined 2% from a year ago.
