Morrisville, VT Information

Morrisville is located approximately 10 miles north of Stowe and is considered the hub of Lamoille County. There is a thriving community centered around Copley Hospital. Located in downtown Morrisville you will find plenty of shopping and restaurants. Try the Bee’s Knees for locally grown food served up with an artistic style. They feature music on most nights with a laid back atmosphere. There is an artist community within Morrisville that uses the beautiful Vermont scenery to inspire their work.  For live music also try Moog's Place.
 
Morrisville also offers larger store shopping in the forms of several supermarkets and midsized box stores. In addition there are weekly farmer’s markets during the summer and into fall. Also check out Guy’s Farm and Yard and Agway for all your gardening and animal needs. Given its central location many people from the surrounding towns of Hyde Park, Elmore and Wolcott come to Morrisville to do business.

 

 

Morrisville, VT Residential Real Estate Market Year End 2011

 
The Lamoille residential market remained fairly flat for the year compared to 2010. There were slight increases in median and average prices, mainly driven by the same in the Morristown and Hyde Park areas. Cambridge’s access to Burlington has started to peak the interest of buyers looking for additional acerage or lower prices, but this has only had a slight impact on the market. Sellers pricing their homes slightly below market value will have the best chance at seeing their property trade in 2012.
